Colts Section – 2026 Season Report

The 2026 season promises to be an exciting and progressive year for the Colts section. We are delighted to be running three age‑group teams: Under 10s, Under 11s, and Under 13s. Across these squads, the club continues to develop a strong pool of young talent, with five players currently involved in the Sussex Pathway. This includes three boys at Under 11 level, and two girls—one in the Under 11s and one in the Under 10s. Alongside our pathway players, all three age groups boast a committed and enthusiastic group of junior cricketers. Their development over the winter has been impressive, and we are anticipating some exciting performances throughout the season.

Colts Management Team

Dan Rive – Under 10s

Darren Bazley – Under 11s & Under 13s

They will be supported by Andrew Greig, Sam Pannell, Jack Ashby‑Lloyd, and Will Ashby‑Skyrme, whose contributions continue to strengthen the section. We also extend our thanks to the many coaches who assisted throughout the winter programme. Their involvement has significantly enhanced the quality of coaching and accelerated the development of our young players. We are currently awaiting confirmation of the festival fixtures, but the intention is to enter all three teams into their respective festivals.

The hugely popular All Stars Cricket programme returns once again, led by Ian Birbeck and Chris Staight. This initiative provides fast‑paced, fun cricket for children aged 5–8 and remains one of the best ways to introduce young players to the game.
